Innovating Preparedness by Leveraging SYNERGIES and Enhancing Results of DRM Projects (SYNERGIES)

SYNERGIES is a three-year Horizon Europe project in the field of Disaster-Resilient Societies (DRS), which began in December 2023. It aims to connect various stakeholders in the field of disaster management, including emergency services, communities, and businesses, to ensure disaster preparedness and resilience. By creating synergies, the project introduces new innovations to enhance the outcomes of various disaster risk management projects.

SYNERGIES combines the results and insights of previous H2020 projects and incorporates best practices, fills existing knowledge gaps, and reflects progress through three case studies in Malta, La Réunion, and Rotterdam.

The Safety Innovation Center leads Work Package 3, which deals with innovative channels and communication, exploring among other things the latest developments in social media, crowdsourcing solutions, and new approaches to crisis communication. With the results from the H2020 project LINKS, the Safety Innovation Center brings valuable expertise and experience in the field of crisis communication.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Innovation Actions programme under the grant agreement No.101121172.
