We took the opportunity to participate in the first BBK expert congress “Research for Civil Protection” in Bonn last week and presented exciting content from our LINKS research project. The three-day congress was organized by the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) with the goal of bringing together scientists from all disciplines working in the field of civil protection. In this context, we gave a presentation about our LINKS Community Center and classification overview of social media and crowdsourcing technologies. The congress not only provided a comprehensive overview of national and international safety research, but also offered a good opportunity to initiate promising discussions with potential research partners.
